C. Alton Lindsay Middle School Reviews

Lindsay Middle School is a great school. The leadership team does a great job as well as the teachers. My child was an eighth grader this year and she has had the best year ever! This school really cares about students.

This school has very poor leadership. Principal Tamara Cooper does not do a good job with getting back with parents. I have contacted her several times only to not have my calls returned. If she is the principal there next year I will remove my child as others have. Tamara Cooper is a bad principal!

Bad School. Horrible Principal! I am a parent and expect to have the school run well. Lack of communication by Principal Tamara Cooper and staff. Poorly run.

Principal has very poor communication with the parents. I have emailed using the their school homepage and it keeps coming back to me saying Mrs. Coopers email is over quota. Why have a link to email the principal if she is not going to be able to check it? Never at the school if you need to talk to her. Communication is just poor!

I ama student at Lindsay Middle School and this is my first year there i really don't like it because of all the students there they are very disrespectful and get on my nerves as well some of the teachers are crazy too. Also the bathrooms are filthy (they need to call an exterminator) I am about to transfer to jones be cause I really don't like this at all

ThiS school has REALLY changed they definately buckled down on us. I attend 8th grade @ lindsay Middle School & was very surprised on how much they've changed!!! & last year wasn't that bad!!!! (It was all the parent's children MOST of the students had no respect for anybody including themselves!)

That school is not worth attending. I'm a mother and regret transferring my daughter to this school. Not just the physical of the school but how the teachers and the administration handles situation.

I'm sorry to say that some of these caomments are not very truthful about this school. It is true that many of the teachers are great and really care about the kids. There are also some teachers who are abusive. Granted these were not the best of kids but they have a right to a safe and respectful learning environment. The school is filthy, I saw cochroaches in the lunchroom, with my own eyes, where the children eat. The principles are not very comunicative and they have done a good job keeping certain problems out of the pubilc eye. The SOL test scores are very low. Walk into the school, spend some time and you will see yourself.

I am a student at Lindsay Middle School and I really like it. The teachers really try everything to help you with your improvment with your grades. Ms.Dunston is the best teacher out of the whole 7th grade! She has so much faith! She is a really good teacher.

I'm a student at Lindsay and there seems to be no problem with it the kids there don't now how t act the first thing that comes out of their parents mouth is the teachers should get fires they don't know how to handle the kids ok it might be there job but kids got a ajob to do in school that is to sit down and get their education. I might be 13 years old but I know what the heck I'm talkin about some might agree some might disagree I don't really care it not alway sthe schools its the kids

I was very disappointed in this school. Academically if you look at the test scores they are very lacking. There does seem to be alot of extracurricular activites for the students. Parent involement seems to be very skimpy. We did have some good teachers but I was dissapointed in the over all helpfulness of the staff.

I found the school a good and interesting learning enviorment. All these complains are probaby just people who are to scared to face the real world. This school offers a mild introduction to the real world I am actually a student at Lindsay. Its a good school. Don't jugde it by over protective mothers scared complaints.

Many students got attitude problems. Some students are yelling at teachers and do NOT respect adults. Teachers are great but students are horrible. Not all students all like that but most of them. In addition, bathrooms are really dirty. There is yellow water coming out from faucet. No paper towels. There is no lock to lock the bathroom door.

I am disappointed with this school's ability to encourage students. Teachers often do not contact the parents back. They have access to email, but if you email the teachers, they will almost never email you back. If you can't make parent/teacher conferences, they basically aren't interested in working with you or your child unless you can take off from work and see them personally, which I am often not able to do. My son does not like this school at all. I wish I had more of a choice where to send my child. The focus isn't on learning, but whether or not they're wearing the school uniform exactly the way they want it worn.

I am a student at Lindsay Middle School and I do not know why the parent's and student's say that their is not enough activities because there is alot. I am going to name some ART CLUB, CHESS CLUB, BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL, NEWSPAPER CLUB, CROME, BOYS 2 MEN CLUB, DRAMA CLUB, MUSIC CLUB, TRACK AND FIELD AND MANY MORE. Just 2 name a few.

This school in my opinion is unacceptable. I am currently a student at Lindsay and I do not find it has a good learning enviroment. The other kids do not follow the rules and things are not explained in the first week of school. The teachers are wonderful but as a new student I do not feel safe or weclomed. I recommend not going to this school.

I agree with the previous comment. There are not enough activities for the students to participate in within the school. The SOL test results are pathetic. There should be some major overall and improvement to increase the scores. A lot of work needs to be done to improve the quality of teaching.

Well I really don't look the staff as far as the teachers, some r so prejudice.Had three daughters to attend, had problems often wth same teachers.not alot of activites to offer to students.but the principles r pretty fair
